Selected Reusable Materials Collection Event
April 25, 2026 from 10am to 3pm
at K2 – North parking lot
19215 Vashon Highway SW
Do you have materials that are too good to throw away? ZWV has partnered with Second Use to find them a new home. This April 25th there will be a free drop-off for items in that are in good, reusable condition at the north end of K2.
The following materials will be collected:
- Interior and Exterior doors
- Windows – vinyl, wood, aluminum clad
- Lighting – good quality fixtures (no fluorescent or halogen lights)
- Cabinets + Hardware
- Furniture – High quality seating, tables, dressers, framed mirrors
- Clean Lumber – 6ft or longer, free of hardware, nails, or screws.
- No matresses or bedding
- Pre-screening recommended – Pre-Screen Form
In addition, Second Use has provided a list for some other items that may be accepted.
50% of proceeds will go to ZWV’s efforts to turn waste into resource. Second Use has been keeping reusable materials out of the landfill for over 30 years. Not everything can be accepted. Second Use reserves the right to accept or reject items based on visual inspection.
Volunteers are needed to help make this a smooth and successful event. Your help is greatly appreciated.
