Food Resources

Food is a large portion of the waste stream. It can now be recycled at the transfer station for a small fee. Also, there are collections at the Episcopal and Methodist churches on Sundays (donations accepted). Some local communities have organized their own collections to reduce delivery fees. Consider doing this with your neighbors.

Food: Too Good To Waste is a simple but powerful toolkit developed by the West Coast Climate Forum to promote source reduction of household food waste (similar to how energy efficiency can be treated as a resource).
