DESCRIPTION:ZWV will be hosting the event at the Vashon High School parking lot on Earth Day\, Saturday\, May 9\, 2026 from 10 am to 12 pm.\n\nAccepted items: Computers\, laptops\, monitors\, ink cartridges\, printers\, fax machines\, keyboards & mice\, servers\, routers\, televisions\, DVD players\, VCRs\, audio components\, radios\, cellphones\, telephones\, cameras\, electronic games\, and small electronics.\n\nNot accepted: Rear screen projection TVs\, no appliances except microwave ovens. No miscellaneous metal boxes\, cabinets\, or large devices. Large flat-screen TVs\, old-style CRT TVs\, and CRT computer monitors require a $10 charge per item for disposal.\n\nCDs\, cassettes and videotapes\, and DVDs are accepted. Please put loose items in a bag or box for easy handling. \nElectronics are recycled by https://friendlyearth.org/ – All hard drives are destroyed to protect privacy. \n\nVolunteers needed\, it’s easy and fun! \nThere is no charge\, but donations to ZWV are gratefully accepted\n\nVolunteers requested to help with traffic mgmt. and loading for 3 hrs on the day of the event.
